In 1422 the militias of the primitive Swiss cantons clashed in Arbedo with those of the Duchy of Milan, captained by Francesco Bussone known as Carmagnola. This reserve (minimum 18 months after harvest) also containing grapes from Arbedo is meant to commemorate their epic deeds.
