The Grand Vin is the product of exceptional terroirs of the former Leoville estate. These terroirs are located mainly in the Clos Leoville Las Cases, which one crosses leaving the village of Saint Julien for Pauillac. They cover about 55 hectares and produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with complex and refined expression and absolutely unique characteristics.
The Delon family took control of the estate in the late 19th century and it is now led by Jean-Hubert Delon.
Château Leoville Las Cases has been a model of consistent quality since the 1970s and has earned the title of "first of the second crus."
