Château Pichon Baron, second Grand Cru Classé in 1855, is one of Bordeaux's historic vineyards. A rigorous selection policy, in the vineyard and in the cellar, guarantees the production of the Grand Vin, Château Pichon Baron, which represents the pure expression of this unique terroir.
Having joined the Axa Group in the late 1980s, Château Pichon Baron has undergone a major modernization.
With modern infrastructure and a largely replanted vineyard, Château Pichon Baron reaches peaks of excellence coming to rival the 1er Grand cru classé.
A true mosaic of terroir it is superbly situated near the Gironde estuary, the Pichon Baron vineyard covers 73 Ha of perfectly drained Graves du Medoc.
