A legendary name in the history of French wine, Château Latour dates back to the 14th century when the famous tower (timeless on the label) was built during the Hundred Years' War.
Classified as a 1er cru classé in 1855, it is one of the crucial names, along with Margaux, Haut Brion, Lafite Rothschild and covers 78 Ha in the fortunate of Pauillac appellation, known for its incomparable terroir.
Château Latour's Grand Vin is made exclusively from "vieilles vignes," dated an average of 60 years old, in the Enclos Gravettes, Sarmentier, Pièce de Château, ... these are the names of some of the best plots that express the character of the terroir and forge the wine's identity each year.
