This single vineyard planted on the ancient clay-limestone slope soil of Saint-Émilion was soon recognized as a wine in its own right. Elevated very quickly to the rank of the greatest. Robert Parker gave it a perfect score of 100/100 in his 2005 Wine Advocate.
