Château Canon-La-Gaffelière embodies the excellence of the great wines of Bordeaux's Rive droite. Located south of the village of St. Emilion, it is a vineyard whose existence can be traced back to the 17th century.
But its present-day history is linked to the noble German family of Count Von Neipperg, who bought it in 1971.
Today Stephan Von Neipperg is committed to maintaining this vineyard and its magnificent terroir at the highest level, with passion and respect for the environment. In fact, the estate has been certified organic since 2014.
The vineyard covers 19.5 hectares on clay-limestone and sandy-clay soils in the foothills and is classified (in the 2012 revision) as a 1er grand cru classé confirming its great wines.
