Château Angelus covers 42 hectares of vineyards located in St. Emilion, Gironde.
The estate owes its name to the location of the vineyard, overlooked by the 3 churches of St. Emilion, from where the bells can be heard ringing the notes of the Angelus at dusk.
The estate has belonged to the de Boüard de Laforest family since 1782, and the current owners belong to the eighth generation of the family.
Château Angelus became 1er grand cru classé "A" alongside Château Ausone, Pavie, Blanc during the last revision of the classification of the St. Emilion appellation in 2012.
