Maison Mumm, founded in 1827 by the three Mumm brothers is the third largest international brand, present in more than 100 countries and producing nearly 8 million bottles a year.
The G.H. Mumm signature Cordon Rouge was born in 1876 and is the Maison's most famous cuvée. The name of this cuvée echoes the famous red ribbon of the French Legion of Honor, the highest honor awarded for civilian merit.
During the 20th century the brand has seen several changes in ownership, but its recent integration into the Pernot-Ricard group has enabled it to achieve new respectability, giving it new fame and prestige.
