The Maison Moët & Chandon was founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, but it was his grandson Jean-Rémy who created the cuvée Imperial in honor of Napoleon Bonaparte and is said to have invented with his troops the gesture of sabering bottles to celebrate a victory.
Owned by the LVMH group since 1987, the Maison elaborates, from a rigorous selection of terroirs, singular vintages recognized worldwide for their personality, a synthesis of tradition, elegance and modernity.
