The Chablis area is an island of vineyards located in the northern part of viticultural Burgundy, halfway between Dijon and Paris. Despite its enormous surface area and production, the Chablis region now produces less than 5 percent of what it did a hundred years ago. Lower yields and improved viticultural practices have made this wine a perennial favorite. Maison Louis Latour selects sections of vineyards within the 1er cru appellation so that the quality of the grapes is guaranteed year after year.
