The Pontiglione brothers and Giuseppe Priola founded Bel Colle in 1975, working with commitment and dedication to create a state-of-the-art winery directed for many years by winemaker Paolo Torchio.
As of August 2015, Bel Colle has joined the Bosio family of Santo Stefano Belbo, winemakers for four generations who have created the Bosio Family Estates group.
