After a degree in agriculture and 5 years of experience in his father-in-law Michele Satta's winery, Fabio Motta decided to set up on his own, moved by a passion for wine and for the work of artisan winemaker.
The name Pievi comes from the vineyard of the same name, about 20 years old, located in an excellent position at the foot of the Castagneto Carducci hill. Fabio Motta considers winemaking to be the process necessary to bottle the grapes grown, as faithfully as possible, and the wine, in addition to giving pleasure and emotions, must tell a little piece of his own land and work.
