Vieux Château Certan, with its history dating back to the mid-18th century, is one of the oldest estates in the Pomerol AOC appellation. Founded by the Demay family , the estate has been owned by the Thienpont family since 1924, and is managed today by Alexandre Thienpont. In 1988 it was renovated in its entirety in terms of premises and winemaking facilities. The vineyards cover an area of about 14 hectares.
