The Ormanni estate dates back to the 13th century, when it was owned by the historic Florentine family of the same name, mentioned by Dante himself in canto XVI of Paradiso. Since 1800, the property has been in the hands of the Brini-Batacchi family, which bought it from the De' Medici family.
Several red varieties such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot, Syrah, and white varieties such as Trebbiano, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Viognier are grown among the rows of the 68 hectares of vines located along the road between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti for different types of wines.
