The Pontet-Canet vineyards, located in the municipality of Pauillac, cover 81 hectares. That is, a hundred or so parcels and nearly 800,000 vines overlooking the Gironde estuary. The heart of Pontet-Canet's terroir, the "Plateau," a ridge of Günz gravel, rests on a limestone rock. The biodynamic approach, begun in 2010 has brought a new dimension to the wines. It has given more depth by making the tannins more precise and silky. The length in the mouth has gained minerality. The wines are purer and more vibrant.
