Pajorè is one of the most renowned crus in the Barbaresco appellation. It comes from the nebbiolo vines on the hills of Treiso. The total vineyard area is 41 hectares for an altitude ranging from about 190 to 350 meters, on soils composed of limestone marl and clay. It enjoys a well-established reputation thanks in part to the wines of Giovanni Moresco (now almost unobtainable), who first vinified it in purity in 1967. Soils, altitudes and exposure give this Barbaresco expressions of absolute class, classic and elegant structure, well matched and deeply balanced.
